We have an interesting situation. On Epcot day, we'd recommend hopping back over to Hollywood Studios since it's in close proximity so that the kiddos can check out Toy Story Land. We recommend hitting the parks offering Extra Magic Hours if you're up for using them! This information was very helpful. We are going 11/17-11/21/19. It's likely going to be a very busy week since its the week of Christmas, but the best day to go may be the 23 since it doesn't fall on a weekend. We'd aim to get to the parks about 30-45 minutes before EMH starts (sometimes they let you in a little early, especially around peak times ;) ) Once you're done, you can pop back for a nap or hop to another park for your FastPasses when the crowds have picked up. However, with the opening of Rise of the Resistance, Disney is adding EMH in the evening for Hollywood Studios. Thank you for your post and time! Coming from out of state, that is a big deal. There is one day during that week that magic kingdom is NOT doing EMH. Special events, new attractions or peak times are the main reasons why Disney may switch up the schedule. Im a little disappointed that "all" the tier 1 rides I wanted to fast pass(at 60 days out) were all booked for the duration of my stay (Avatar, all Hollywood Studios, 7 Dwarfs). Expect that you'll need to "tap in" with your MagicBand or ticket card for access to rides. Can we access EMH on any of the days/nights we are booked in the Disney hotel if our park tickets were not booked direct with Disney, ie from an external operator such as UT? Because you'll be lucky enough to hop around for 10 days, we might pick a few days out of your trip to head into the parks early and take advantage of the lowest crowds of the day during EMH, while sleeping in on the others ;) This largely depends on your traveling style, but we'd say you can be pretty flexible with it because of the lower crowds during your trip! Since we are staying off site and don't have access to EMH, I was wondering if It would be better to plan our park day this day and get there before rope drop and stay until close perhaps to avoid all those using EMH? Getting there early allows you to park, get through security and the turnstiles and wait in the holding area until you're released (it's our favorite time to grab some coffee!).
