My Solomid 2016 is in Cuben, but my DuoMid XL is in the more cost effective Pro Silnylon. It is designed to be pitched with onetrekking pole and the included pole jack, which is a simple four inch piece of aluminum tube.

And you are right sil is a lot more compact and easier to fold away and put in your pack.
