While driving home from Sedona this week weve noticed that the weatherstripping on the exterior of the windshield is coming loose from the lower drivers side and flapping. That's not normal or common. happened to me on FLs turnpike. And the silicon is really only optional? I've used. Due to safty issues concerning air bags, the front and rear glass should be secured on to prevent them from blowing out when the air bags deploy. That has never happened to me, but I did have a windshield changed once, and I put a new rubber around it.

Gonna have to go back. If not go to a glass shop and get a dab of urethane.

Hey all, my SG appears to have some weather stripping coming up from around the upper corners of my windshield. This is purely for cosmetic part. After replacing, mine "whistled" in the wind, so I out some black gasket silicone under it along the top. Didn't see that on the paper I was given Maybe I missed it. I just noticed this on my 2020 Touring (purchased in May 2020). Sure enough, the rubber trim at the bottom was sticking out. It's lame how easily this trim comes loose. As a matter of fact, since its simply the trim piece that needs replacing, they probably won;t even have to remove the glass.
